ARTES Fine Rentals stands for quality, experience, and the responsible handling of stringed instruments. Our goal is to provide musicians with access to well-selected instruments – flexibly, transparently, and at a high professional level.
Founded by Ioan and Heidi Gramatic, ARTES Fine Rentals builds on decades of experience in music, instrument knowledge, and teaching. As active musicians and teachers, we know from our own experience how crucial the right instrument is for tonal development, motivation, and musical progress.
We are convinced:
ARTES Fine Rentals therefore pursues a clear approach: carefully curated instruments, fair rental conditions and personal advice instead of anonymous mass solutions.
Ioan Gramatic is a professional violinist with many years of experience as an orchestral musician, chamber musician, and teacher. His intensive study of sound, playability, and instrument-specific characteristics significantly influences the selection and care of instruments at ARTES.
Heidi Gramatic brings her extensive experience in musical education, working with students, and instrument maintenance. Her focus is on sustainability, continuity, and individual support for musicians – especially in the area of training.
Together they combine musical practice, technical understanding and pedagogical responsibility.
Our rental offer includes:
Each instrument is selected according to clear criteria:
ARTES Fine Rentals is not just a rental company, but a professionally guided service. We value:
Our aim is to support musicians in the long term – be it during their training, during transition phases or for targeted sonic development.
Instruments with substance. Rent with responsibility. Music with a future.»
ARTES Fine Rentals sees its mission as making high-quality string instruments from select collections available to musicians for rent. The aim is to integrate instruments with substance, character, and tonal potential into everyday musical life – at clear, transparent monthly rates.
Unlike traditional foundation or funding models, ARTES Fine Rentals is not based on auditions, competitions, or age limits. Our approach is deliberately practical and individualized: musicians come to us with their specific needs – be it for training, rehearsals, exams, concerts, or recordings.
Following a personal consultation, a review of the musical background, and a discussion about sound preferences, playing technique requirements, and the specific situation, we compile a targeted selection of suitable instruments. The goal is not to assign "just any" instrument, but the "right" one.
A central principle of ARTES Fine Rentals is unimpeded access to quality instruments, which are often difficult to find on the open market or require significant investment. Therefore, our rental agreements are not artificially limited in time. Musicians can rent an instrument for as long as it serves their development, planning, and artistic work.
Especially during auditions, competitions, concerts, or recordings, stability and familiarity with the instrument are crucial factors. We are convinced that an instrument needs time – and that musicians must be given this time.
Truly getting to know an instrument, exploring its sonic possibilities, and building a personal relationship with it are among the cornerstones of our concept.
Achieving the best possible connection between instrument and musician requires experience, responsibility, and a keen sense of sound. At ARTES Fine Rentals, the selection and care of our instruments is based on precisely these principles.
Our aim is to provide instruments that can fully realize their sonic potential and meet the demands of studies, orchestral work, competitions, auditions, and concert performances. To achieve this, suitable instruments must first be found, their sound accurately assessed, optimally set up, and then professionally maintained over the long term.
This work requires not only technical knowledge, but also a sense of sound, musical experience, and a high degree of responsibility. This combination is precisely what characterizes our daily work.
Ioan Gramatic, a professional violinist, orchestral musician, and educator, brings many years of practical experience to the evaluation of the sound, response, and musical usability of instruments. His perspective is that of an active musician.
Heidi Gramatic complements this with her extensive experience in the musical training and support of musicians. She ensures continuity, reliability, and structured support throughout the entire rental period.
For the fine-tuning of craftsmanship and sound, we work closely with Sylvain Rusticoni, violin maker. His precise work on setup, sound optimization, and long-term maintenance ensures that each instrument remains not only playable but also tonally balanced and stable.
Every instrument in ARTES Fine Rentals' inventory is carefully inspected, professionally set up, and regularly checked. Where necessary, we collaborate with recognized experts.
